Still Have a Question? For major works, including new lift installations, modernisations, and decommissioning, we operate across the entirety of England and Wales. For our domestic stairlift services and 24/7 emergency maintenance, we focus our reach on the Greater Midlands to ensure we can provide a rapid, reliable response to our local contract clients.
We are a family-run business led by engineers, not salespeople. When you contact us, you are speaking directly to technical experts who understand the machinery. We provide independent, honest advice and aren't tied to any single manufacturer, ensuring you get the best solution for your specific requirements.
Yes. All our engineers are factory-trained and highly experienced in the installation, repair, and maintenance of a wide variety of lifting equipment, from domestic stairlifts to heavy-duty industrial goods lifts.
Lift Services FAQs
Questions about commercial lifts, LOLER inspections, maintenance, and modernisation.
Explore Lift ServicesLOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998) requires that all lifts used for work or in public spaces undergo a thorough examination by a competent person. For passenger lifts, this must occur every 6 months, and for goods-only lifts, every 12 months. We manage these inspections and provide the digital certification required for your legal compliance.
In many cases, yes. A full replacement is often unnecessary and expensive. We specialise in smart modernisation, where we upgrade the control systems, motors, and interior aesthetics of an existing lift. This improves reliability and energy efficiency at a fraction of the cost of a new installation.
The frequency depends on the type of lift and how often it is used. However, as a standard, we recommend a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) visit at least four times a year to ensure the equipment remains safe and to identify potential issues before they cause a breakdown.
Stairlift Services FAQs
Questions about home surveys, installation, safety, and ongoing maintenance of domestic stairlifts.
Explore Stairlift ServicesNo. Most modern stairlifts are fixed directly to the treads of the stairs, not the wall. This makes the installation very stable and means there is minimal impact on your home's structure or wallpaper.
For a standard straight staircase, installation usually takes between 2 to 3 hours. For more complex curved staircases, it may take between 4 to 5 hours. Our engineers always ensure a full safety demonstration is completed before they leave, so you feel 100% confident using your new lift.
Absolutely. We offer slimline and compact designs where the seat, arms, and footrest fold away neatly when not in use. This ensures there is plenty of room for other household members to walk up and down the stairs safely.
Our stairlifts are battery-powered and constantly charge when parked. In the event of a power cut, the lift will continue to work for several journeys, ensuring you are never left stranded between floors.
